Amber Alert
Canceled Thursday, May 8.

Cindy Bruno

11 years old, has been found safe in Heber City Utah on Thursday May 8. Cindy is Hispanic, 5', 130 lbs., with brown eyes and straight black hair.

Provo police said they were found at Heber City, Utah, and referred all questions to Wasatch County authorities, who said they could not yet comment.

Minnesota authorities issued an AMBER Alert and launched an intensive hunt for the girl after she was discovered missing by her mother Wednesday morning.

In a criminal complaint filed late Wednesday, the FBI charged Antonio P. Andrade, 21, who has several aliases and formerly lived in Provo, Utah, with kidnapping, said Paul McCabe, spokesman for the FBI in Minneapolis.

Utah Highway Patrol spokesman Doug McCleve says Andrade's vehicle was spotted by a trooper. It was stopped in Wasatch County near Heber City, about 30 miles southeast of Salt Lake City.

The girl's mother woke up and found her daughter gone on Wednesday morning, authorities said. Bruno was last seen in her bedroom.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Kevin Smith said the man had been living with Bruno's family while he looked for work, but decided to leave for either Utah or South Carolina after being unable to find any.

Smith said the girl apparently left behind a note, written in Spanish. Investigators were looking at the letter to see if she wrote it willingly, he said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the St. Cloud PD at 320-251-1200 or dial 911.
