Amber Alert Canceled for 8 Year Old California Girl

The State of California canceled the Amber Alert Tuesday morning (10-05) after the girl was found safe after being dropped off at a home in central Fresno. Police have detained a possible suspect.

The State of California issued the Amber Alert early Tuesday morning after the girl was forcibly abducted by the suspect in Fresno. The State of Nevada has also activated their Amber Alert for the child as they are believed to be traveling to the Reno area. No explanation was given as to why they are believed to be traveling to Nevada.

Elisa Cardenas, an Hispanic female, 8 years old, 4' 0", 60 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a light purple Winnie the Pooh sweater and blue jeans.

The suspect is an unidentified white or Hispanic male, mid twenties, 6' and approximately 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white tank top and blue jeans.

The suspect vehicle is an older model single cab Chevrolet pickup, red or brown in color with round tail lights and a white stripe on the side.
