Amber Alert Canceled for 2 Year Old Maryland Boy

The State of Maryland canceled the Amber Alert Saturday afternoon (07-03) after the boy was dropped off at a family members home in Hyattsville, Maryland. The suspect remains at large at this time.

The State of Maryland issued the Amber Alert early Saturday morning (07-03) after the child was reportedly abducted from in front of the Mount Vernon Metro Station in Washington, D.C. on Friday afternoon (07-02).

Aaron Gamez, an Hispanic male, 2 years old, 3', 40 pounds with brown eyesw and black curly hair. He was last seen wearing a red shirt and blue pants.

The suspect is Jose Alex Turcios, an Hispanic male, 28 years old, 5' 8", 195 pounds with brown eyes and black hair worn in a pony tail. He has two tattoos, one on his neck that says "Lidia" and another on his forearm that says "Ice". He was last seen wearing a cream colored shirt and blue jeans.

The suspect vehicle is 1999 black Nissan Sentra with Maryland tag number 5FJ-E91.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Prince Georges County Police Department at 301-333-4000 or dial 911.
