Amber Alert Canceled for Two Year Old Florida Boy

The State of Florida canceled the Amber Alert Thursday morning (5-12) after the boy was found safe in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The suspect is in custody and will face charges.

The State of Florida issued the Amber Alert Wednesday (05-11) after the suspect abducted the child from hiss home in Chipley around 3 AM. Local residents chased the abductor on foot but were unable to catch him before he and the boy left in the suspect vehicle. The suspect is from Ozark, Alabama and Alabama authorities are searching for them in that area. Alabama has not issued an Amber Alert at this time.

Waylan Snipes, a white male, 2 years old, 2' , 23 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing gray pajama pants with red fire trucks, white socks and a diaper.

The suspect is William Snipes, a 36 year old white male, 6 feet, 4 inches tall with brown hair and blue eyes.

The suspect vehicle is a silver Chevrolet S10 pick-up with an Albama tag number 26A55B8. The truck has a red/white/blue army tag on the bumper.
