The State of Florida canceled the Amber Alert Tuesday afternoon (09-01) after the boy was recovered safe. The suspect contacted the Sheriff's office after learning about the Amber Alert and turned himself and the child over to the Sheriff. Law Enforcement officials are conducting interviews to determine what actually took place and whether any charges will be filed.
The State of Florida issued the Amber Alert early Tuesday afternoon (09-01) after the boy was reportedly abducted from his home in Sarasota.
CASSIUS TURNER a 3 year old white male, 2 feet tall, weighing 50 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing pajamas.
The suspect is Alexander Lakhno, a white male, 28 years old, 6 feet 4 inches tall, 247 lbs., brown hair and eyes.
The suspect vehicle is a 2001 Silver Toyota Solara with Pennsylvania tag number HBM 5426..
